30 - minutes Initial College Counseling Meeting
for 7th – 12th grade students

The service covers:
a. One 30-minute meeting with student and family with an IvyBoost counselor;
b. Discuss student’s college goals and identify student’s needs;
c. Introduce IvyBoost’s college counseling services;
The service covers:
a. 1-hour meeting with counselor to discuss 1 specific student issue related to college admissions ;
b. Student and family is charged by the hour for each meeting;
The service covers:
a. 2 hour meeting (in-person or online) with student for brainstorming
b. The steps of the service detailed below;
Essay guidance with IvyBoost’s experienced writing mentors:
a. Brainstorm;
b. Analyze essay prompts;
c. Edit essay through feedback in 3 rounds;
d. Polish final draft for 1 Common App essay or 1 Coalition essay;
The service covers:
a. 4 Assessments and 1 report;
b. 1-hour one-on-one monthly meetings through 1 academic year;
c. Unlimited phone, email and/or chat access to counselor between meetings;
Counseling leverages IvyBoost’s unique 6-module college planning :
a. Monitor and analyze student’s academic performance and advise on curriculum choice and rigor, as well as study-aid resources;
b. Develop a testing plan to cover SAT/ACT, SAT Subject tests, AP/IB exam;
c. Advise on extra-curricular activities based on assessments;
d. Study occupation/career and related majors;
e. Advise on summer program and volunteer activities toward career interest;
f. Discuss cost of attendance, FAFSA and CSS;
g. Study colleges that student may apply for ;
The service covers:
a. 4 Assessments and 1 report;
b. Unlimited phone, email and/or chat access to counselor between meetings;
c. 1-hour one-on-one weekly meeting through the senior year until all applications are complete;
Counseling leverages IvyBoost’s unique 10-step college application:
a. Create a college application milestone form to manage college and financial aid timelines;
b. Develop a balanced 4-colleges list leveraging college application strategies;
c. Discuss cost of attendance, FAFSA and CSS;
d. Brainstorm and edit college essays;
e. Review all online college applications before application submission;
The service covers:
a. 4 Assessments and 1 report;
b. 1-hour one-on-one monthly meetings through the academic year for 8th-11th grade;
c. Unlimited phone, email and/or chat access to counselor between meetings;
d. 1-hour one-on-one weekly meeting through the senior year until all applications are complete;
